KUALA LUMPUR: All major Asian markets gave up their early gains on Friday as investors decided to retreat to the sidelines until there was more data from the United States about measures to resolve the sub-prime mortgage crisis.
Markets rose in early trade after Standard’s & Poor said the subprime-related write-downs might end soon.
