PETALING JAYA: The KL Composite Index (KLCI) climbed 26.41 points, or 1.9%, to 1,419.66 points yesterday, trailing gains across regional markets on the back of Wall Street's rally last Friday.
The rally, which was spurred by the US Federal Reserve's cumulative rate cut of 125 basis points, resulted in strong closings for Asian bourses on Feb 1. The local market was closed on Feb 1 for a holiday.
