TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) - Taiwan raised prices for gasoline and diesel fuel by about 3 percent Friday a day after crude oil prices hit record levels.
The government rejected demands to hold them in check ahead of next year's elections, and Premier Chang Chun-hsiung called on Taiwanese to show forbearance.
