SHARES in marine transportation firm Alam Maritim Resources Bhd added 23 sen to RM2.41 after a local brokerage initiated a buy call on the stock, citing new deepwater contracts, a stronger-than-expected rise in charter rates and new vessel acquisitions as catalysts. It said firm crude oil prices encouraged demand for offshore marine support vessels. Another research house, however, warned that the stock's “superb performance” to date had capped its upside potential.
