GEMAS: Heveaboard Bhd
has tripled its particleboard production to 300,000 cu m per annum from 110,000 cu m a year ago with its recently commissioned particleboard line, built at a cost of RM270mil.
According to group managing director Tenson Yoong, the significant increase in production is also attributed to a surge in particleboard consumption last year by its downstream ready to assemble (RTA) furniture manufacturer, HeveaPac Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HeveaBoard.
