Panasonic recently unveiled its latest range of washing machines designed for health-conscious consumers. The new Aquabeat series has a new feature – AG Crystal Shower – that can disinfect by suppressing bacterial growth by 99.99% and deodorises clothes while washing.

The range also boasts a more dynamic spin and scrub combination, and triple motion water flow that gives 17% more washing performance and minimises damage to fabrics.

The nine models are priced from RM949 to RM1,429.

NEC LCD Technologies, Ltd has developed the world's first thin-film-transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD) prototype module with a DRAM frame memory system, corresponding to 18-bit colour, embedded onto the glass substrate of the LCD screen.

“Embedding the frame memory onto the glass substrate is a breakthrough in system-on-glass LCD technology, and will enable significant reductions in display power consumption,” research senior manager Hideki Asada said in a statement.

Vehicle owners seeking to boost the performance of their vehicles may want to try AMTEC, a new liquid treatment product produced by AMOIL and distributed by AIT Synergy Ventures Sdn Bhd. Said to be 100% oil-less, AMTEC can be used for any vehicle and any engine type, even those with slightly worn-out pistons. AMTEC is retailing at RM49.90 for a 380ml bottle.
