KUALA LUMPUR: Two hundred and eighty-six employers were fined a total of RM684,780 by the court from January to June 2007 for defaulting on their employees' contributions to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF).
The fines, ranging from RM1,000 to RM6,000, were for offences under Section 43(2) of the EPF Act 1991.
