BUTTERWORTH: A company would be appointed to manage the land under the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER)’s proposed paddy estate amalgamation scheme and ensure farmers retain ownership of their land.
Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shariff Omar said, “The scheme is aimed at increasing yields, such as doubling paddy production from four to eight metric tonnes per hectare, with the use of modern methods and equipment.
