SMR plans to unlock value of US associate

PETALING JAYA: SMR Technologies Bhd's (SMRTech) 25% associate company US-based Smartha Inc plans to “remain private” only for the next 24 months, said Smartha co-founder and chief executive officer Dr Venkata Majeti. 

He said shareholders of the newly formed joint-venture company had considered public offering, sale and merger as the main options aimed at unlocking Smartha's fair value.
