Consumer Price Index up

KUALA LUMPUR: The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for January to June 2007 increased by 2.0 per cent to 105.1 compared with that of 103.0 in the same period last year.  

The Statistics Department said on Wednesday that compared with that of the same month in 2006, the CPI increased by 1.4 per cent from 103.8 to 105.3. 

When compared with the previous month, the CPI increased by 0.2 per cent.
