HONG KONG: The Malaysian and other Asian markets gained Monday amid fading worries about a possible U.S. interest rate hike, with new closing records set in Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore, the Philippines and Indonesia.
Malaysian shares rose 0.9 percent to close at 1372.28.
