PENANG: The Penang Master Builders & Materials Dealers Association is looking forward to a good year for its members after six consecutive quarters of negative growth in the construction industry due to the shortage of projects and the difficulty of obtaining loans.
According to the association's executive adviser Lim Hun Swee, the situation was improving thanks to OCBC Bank (M) Bhd’s contract financing package and the start of projects under the Ninth Malaysia Plan.
