PETALING JAYA: Synovate Malaysia’s Media Atlas survey of about 10,000 newspaper readers in Peninsular Malaysia last year found that about 1,500, or 14%, read English dailies, of whom 79% read The Star.
The study, done with computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) and face-to-face discussions, also showed that The Star has a 10.8% penetration among the respondents, compared with 3.8% for The New Straits Times (NST), 2.5% for The Sun and 1% for The Malay Mail.
