PETALING JAYA: CIMB Bank Bhd expects to re-brand all its 383 outlets by the second half of the year, said head of retail banking Peter England.
With 76 branches having been refurbished at present, the re-branding exercise is on track and within budget, England told reporters at the launch of the bank's Grand Ang Pow campaign on Friday.
The group has budgeted a total of RM80mil for the re-branding exercise, financed through internally generated funds, he said.
The re-branding exercise would also include the co-location of CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd within the same premises as CIMB Bank.
CIMB Islamic Bank is currently already available at the 76 refurbished branches.
"With the Grand Ang Pow campaign we have a target of RM800mil in new deposits for the two-month period of the contest," said England adding that this was achievable.
The banking group's Dream Deposits campaign last year brought in RM1.7bil in new deposits over a three-month period.
For this year, the group was targeting a total retail deposit growth of 15% or RM4bil, said England.
Of this RM4bil, CIMB Islamic Bank was expected to contribute RM1.2bil.
