KUALA LUMPUR: Failure to reach a free trade agreement with the United States will have no impact on investments, Malaysia's trade minister said Tuesday, less than a week after hopes for a deal by July evaporated.
She made the remarks as she released new trade data for 2006, which showed that foreign and domestic investment in Malaysia's manufacturing sector hit a record high.
