KUALA LUMPUR: A proposed agency to control the import and export of agriculture and agro-based industry products more efficiently and effectively is expected to be fully operational by the end of the year.
Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the Cabinet had approved the proposal for the setting up of the proposed Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services (Maqis) agency, under his ministry.
