PETALING JAYA: Shares in cement manufacturers surged yesterday as investors bet the higher ceiling price of cement would lift profits of main producers like Lafarge Malayan Cement Bhd and YTL Cement Bhd.
Cement Industries of Malaysia Bhd, the smallest of the country’s three big players, was the top gainer yesterday, putting on 36 sen, or 10%, to RM3.96.
