HONG KONG: Most Asian markets advanced Monday, with Tokyo stocks lifted by banks and retailers and Taiwanese shares rising to a six-year high. Indonesia's market hit a new record.
Malaysian shares gained, led by a rally in plantation shares. The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index of 100 blue chips climbed 0.7 percent to 1,068.29 points.
