PROPERTY RIGHTS: China is taking, and will continue to take, effective action against intellectual property right (IPR) violations, Chong Quan, spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce told a news briefing in response to reports that the United States, Japan and the European Union are planning to take legal action at the World Trade Organisation (WTO) over China’s IPR situation.
The Chinese Government had been taking IPR protection seriously and had established a sound IPR legal system, Chong said.
