Payoff from Internet, mobile may take years: Disney CEO

LOS ANGELES: Walt Disney Co, the second largest US media firm, may have to wait as long as five years for a payoff from investments in Internet video and mobile devices, chief executive officer Robert Iger said. 

“In terms of the sheer bottom-line impact, it's still relatively small,'' Iger said yesterday in an interview after Disney reported that profit doubled last quarter. “Over the next three to five years we'll be able to monetise at a significant level.''
