KUALA LUMPUR: The London Business School Alumni Club Malaysia (LBS Alumni) will organise a regional conference with the theme Malaysia-Singapore Businesses, Expanding in Asia: New Challenges and Opportunities on Nov 27.
President Datuk Mohamed Saufi Abdullah said the conference was aimed at, among other things, enhancing the relationship between opinion and business leaders in both countries as well as offering business leaders an insight to current global management issues.
“This is a good time for the conference as relations between both countries are good,” he said at a pre-event press conference on Thursday.
He said the countries and their citizens had a lot in common.
“We share the same sentiment and a work culture that is second to none,” he said.
Saufi also said this was the first time the alumni was organising a regional-level conference.
“However, it will not be an annual event as we will think of other events to organise,” he said.
The conference, to be held in Kuala Lumpur, will be jointly officiated by the deputy prime ministers of both countries.
Official sponsors and partners include Star Publications (M) Bhd, General Electric International (GE), DBS Bank Ltd and OCBC Bank (M) Bhd.
