PETALING JAYA: The outlook for the local equities market in the fourth quarter appears neutral, with more excitement expected only in 2007, analysts and fund managers say.

“Overall, we are neutral on the market for the final quarter this year. Although we would expect some accumulation on 2007 valuations, we expect the impact to be rather muted and the Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) to hover at the 970 level,” said OSK Securities head of research Kenny Yee.
