Government plans to sell RM2.76bil TM convertible bonds

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia is taking another step in its promised sale of state assets with an issue of around US$750mil (RM2.76bil) in bonds convertible into Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) shares, sources familiar with the deal said yesterday. 

Khazanah Nasional Bhd, which along with other government agencies owns about a third of the stock market, planned to sell the five-year Islamic bonds this week, they said.
