KUALA LUMPUR: Five key areas are critical to improve Malaysia’s competitiveness and to achieve the goals and objectives of Vision 2020, said Economic Planning Unit director-general Datuk Halipah Esa.
Halipah said it was important for the country to move the economy up the value chain, raise the capacity for knowledge and innovation, address persistent socio-economic inequalities constructively and productively, improve the standard and sustainability of the quality of life and strengthen the country’s institutions via an effective implementation and monitoring mechanism.
