PETALING JAYA: The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) closed at its best level in more than six years yesterday, boosted by strong gains in plantation stocks. Shares in Genting Bhd also raced to a new high on earnings upgrade by a brokerage.
The KLCI gained 7.53 points to 968.22, the index's highest closing since March 2000.
