CYBERJAYA: MK Land Holdings Bhd and Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) yesterday signed agreements that would see buyers of MK Land properties earn free tickets to RBA destinations and people who stay at two of MK Land's resorts earn points with RBA's Royal Skies frequent flier programme.
The project aims to offer value-added products to potential customers of MK Land who would have the opportunity to get free air tickets to RBA destinations.
The year-long programme will involve the two companies doing several marketing and publicity activities.
“The market has changed. One product cannot be sold within only one country as the market has expanded with IT,'' said MK Land chairman Tan Sri Mustapha Kamal Abu Bakar at a media conference.
MK Land products that are involved in the promotion include Cyberia-Cyberjaya, Metropolitan SQ, Armanee terrace and the Rafflesia in Damansara Perdana.
Royal Skies' partnership with Cyberview Lodge Resort & Spa and Langkawi Lagoon Resort is an extension of benefits offered by Royal Skies to its members.
“This will also bring tourism products to people in cities in Brunei,'' said Mustapha.
Accrual of miles will only commence from Sept 1 to ensure Royal Skies has ample time to promote its new partners to its members. Members who stay at either resort and pay an eligible rate will earn 750 Royal Skies miles per stay.
RBA flies to 22 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
