KUALA LUMPUR: Asean hopes to see a speedier reduction in tariffs on common goods of interest with India to allow more liberal trading in the subcontinent, International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz said.
Rafidah said discussions at the Fifth Consultation between Asean economic ministers and India’s Commerce & Industry Minister Kamal Nath were focused on outstanding issues, particularly the resumption of talks on goods to obtain basic agreements, allowing officials to continue talks on other sectors.
