Genting buys into Landmarks


PETALING JAYA: Genting Bhd bought 80 million shares, amounting to a stake of 16.6%, in Landmarks Bhd on Aug 18.  

It told Bursa Malaysia yesterday that it bought the shares for RM2.00 each or a total of RM160mil cash. In a separate statement to Bursa, it was disclosed that Datuk Syed Mohd Yusof Tun Syed Nasir ceased to be a substantial shareholder of Landmarks after he sold 31.28 million shares, a stake of 6.5%, in the company.
