KUALA LUMPUR: The Weld shopping centre, said to be the city’s first supermarket when it opened in 1963, reopened yesterday after a RM15mil facelift.
Great Eastern Life Assurance (M) Bhd, which acquired the mall from Cycle & Carriage Malaysia for RM150mil in 2003, hoped to make it a shopping centre of choice, said director and chief executive officer Alex Foong.
