PETALING JAYA: The average price of major types of plastic resins increased between 20% and 35% last month against a year ago as a strong surge in crude oil and natural gas prices pushed feedstock costs higher, said the Malaysian Plastics Manufacturers Association (MPMA).
Feedstock is the principal raw material used in the production of plastic resins.
