DiGi second quarter profit rises 78%

PETALING JAYA: DiGi.Com Bhd has posted an impressive 78% rise in net profit to RM200.6mil for its second quarter ended June 30, compared with the previous corresponding period. This is due to gains from more focused segmentation, enlarged distribution reach and enhanced value propositions. Earnings per share rose by 43.4% year-on-year to 26.7 sen.

Chief executive officer Morten Lundal told StarBiz in a telephone interview from Norway yesterday that he was pleased with the steady progress, and would keep up the pace of business “as customers now have a bigger appetite for newer innovations and best values.”
