Human capital vital to face globalisation

CITIGROUP country officer and CEO Piyush Gupta sees Malaysians showing a lot of interest in foreign investment opportunities with the liberalisation of foreign administration rules last year. Foreign currency deposits have also picked up and there is an increasing demand for structured products.

DHL country manager Sam Leong is optimistic that Malaysia’s natural gas reserves and strong position as an outsourcing location for MNCs will enable the country to maintain strong growth.

Cheah Tat-Inn, managing director of Sun Microsystems, believes the Government’s commitment to maintaining price stability and sustainable growth will continue to spur confidence among the business community, thus ensuring the current growth momentum is maintained.
