DESPITE the challenges posed by high commodity prices and inflation, the world economy is in good health, notes AmBank chairman Tan Sri Azman Hashim.

To strengthen its competitiveness in various niches, the AmBank group has teamed up with world-class partners and is going ahead with plans for a bigger regional presence.

Siemens president and CEO Rainer Althoff is bullish on Malaysia's continued economic growth.

Already the lead systems supplier in the Rawang to Ipoh electrification and double-tracking KTM Bhd project, Siemens is opening branches in various parts of the country to better serve customers in the emerging regions.

Ornasteel group managing director Dr Chung Yeong-Huei sees speculative buying behind the “ever increasing metal prices.'' His company is constantly trying to improve productivity and quality to maintain competitiveness.
