LEADER Universal's results for the first quarter ended March 31 were ahead of Standard & Poor's (S&P) expectations. Net profit for the quarter of RM8mil was almost four times better than the RM2.1mil garnered in the corresponding quarter of last year. Revenue also rose 54% to RM473.9mil in the quarter. The strong performance was due to a pass-through of higher raw material prices to consumers and stronger sales volume. Leader's order book currently stands at RM540mil.
