KUALA LUMPUR: QSR Brands Bhd's EGM yesterday was as contentious as an earlier EGM in September last year, with one adversary claiming status quo in its board and the other claiming the removal of most of the directors and appointment of new ones.

The EGM, which was requisitioned by Kulim (M) Bhd and its managing director Ahamad Mohamad, and Cimsec Nominees Sdn Bhd, had resolutions for a sweeping change in QSR's board – the removal of 13 directors and appointment of eight new directors.
