800 needed for Indon ops

JAKARTA: Maxis Communications Bhd plans to hire 800 more people by the year-end for its Indonesian operations, according to chief executive officer Datuk Jamaludin Ibrahim.  

This will bring the company’s staff strength to 6,100. “We currently have 3,000 employees in Malaysia, 2,000 in India (for Aircel) and about 300 in Indonesia,” he told reporters after accepting an award for the company’s contributions to human resource development.
