PETALING JAYA: British American Tobacco (M) Bhd (BAT) is cautiously optimistic of a rebound in profitability for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2006, amid a less challenging year compared with 2005.
Finance director James Clark said the company expected a rebound from last year’s 24% drop in net profit, due mainly to one-off costs and price discounting.
