BANGKOK: Thai Airways International Pcl has appointed Apinan Sumanaseni its new president, ending eight months of search after stripping Kanok Abhiradee of his executive powers amid losses and an accounting probe.
The Thai Airways board chose Apinan, the Bangkok-based airline's head of operations, from a shortlist of four internal applicants, chairman Wanchai Sarathulthat said in a news conference yesterday.
