New landmark in the making

STARBIZ: How different will The Gardens be compared with what have been built in the Mid Valley City?

David McCracken: The Gardens will have a more upmarket, intimate feel. The architecture takes inspiration from Malaysia’s flora and fauna and the arts and craft of the Asian region. For instance, its facade takes the forms of the graceful curves of the sails, which hark back to the early trades facilitated by such vessels. The themes will be carried throughout the development with bamboo and rain tree motifs and the national flower, the hibiscus.
