KUALA LUMPUR: Fuji Electric (M) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Japan-based Fuji Electric Device Technology Co Ltd, plans to invest an additional RM1bil to set up a new magnetic disk production plant (M2) at the Kulim Technology Park in Kedah.
“The new plant will increase our capacity to meet the growing demand for HDD (hard disk drive) globally,” company president Akira Takai told reporters after the signing of a lease agreement with Kulim Technology Park Corp Sdn Bhd yesterday.
