KUALA LUMPUR: The rationalisation of the domestic air routes will boost profitability for both Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and AirAsia Bhd, say the chiefs of both airlines.
“We would make profit on the first year we start running those routes. I feel confident that we should make money,’’ MAS managing director Idris Jala told reporters in a joint press conference with AirAsia yesterday. This was the first time the two chiefs came together in a press conference, as both airlines were bitter archrivals.
