KUALA LUMPUR: Sales by Malaysia-based US tech firms will rise 8% this year, an industry group said yesterday, an increase from its earlier forecast because of rising consumer electronics demand.
The Malaysian American Electronics Industry (MAEI), whose members produce nearly a third of Malaysia's electronics exports, raised its 2006 sales growth estimate from 57%.
