PETALING JAYA: Government-linked companies (GLCs) were widely sprinkled among gainers on the market yesterday.

Bursa Malaysia – the stock – was the second biggest gainer, rising 75 sen or 15% to RM5.75 yesterday on expectations that its earnings would be buoyed by higher volume when regulated short-selling is introduced. Bursa was actively traded, with some nine million shares changing hands.
