PETALING JAYA: Cement Industries of Malaysia Bhd (CIMA) shares rose 16 sen, or 8.47%, to RM2.05 yesterday following a report in Singapore's Business Times that the company was considering selling 51% of its cement assets to the Vicat group from France for “at least US$160mil”.
The cement maker, a relatively dormant counter until interest in it started picking up in the second week of February, saw a volume of 2.19 million shares traded.
