KUALA LUMPUR: Global funds are expected to gain prominence this year following encouraging response from local investors, the Federation of Malaysian Unit Trust Managers (FMUTM) said.
Vice-president Paul Low said since the liberalisation of exchange controls in April 2005, unit trust companies had been steadily launching offshore funds to enable local investors invest offshore.
