PETALING JAYA: Standard & Poor's Ratings Services (S&P) has retained an A- sovereign rating on Malaysia on the country's public sector reforms and an improved fiscal condition.
S&P Financial Services & Sovereign Ratings director and team leader Ping Chew said an improvement in the ratings could have been constrained by a relatively high debt level of 40% of gross domestic product (GDP).
