CARACAS, Venezuela (AP): Venezuela's agriculture ministry has restricted imports of beef from Argentina and Brazil, citing an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in the two South American nations.
Venezuela was banning imports from the Brazilian states of Mato Grosso do Sul and Parana as well as parts of Corientes province in Argentina, which have cattle with either foot-and-mouth disease or the virus that eventually causes the disease, according to a listing published Thursday in the Official Gazette.
