The Cabinet ministers, both the incumbent and newly-appointed, have their work cut out for them. Businessmen hold high expectations for the 9th Malaysia Plan, which will be unveiled later this year, and which these government leaders will carry into effect. 

Business leaders hope the Cabinet will improve various facets of the economy, which faces considerable challenges from the increasingly globalised and open markets.
