Business leaders hail line-up

The Cabinet ministers, both the incumbent and newly-appointed, have their work cut out for them. Businessmen hold high expectations for the 9th Malaysia Plan, which will be unveiled later this year, and which these government leaders will carry into effect. 

Business leaders hope the Cabinet will improve various facets of the economy, which faces considerable challenges from the increasingly globalised and open markets.  

However, they feel that if effectively tackled, there are opportunities in regional markets. The following are views of some of the business leaders contacted by the StarBiz team.
