KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's inflation rate could decline to a projected 2.7% this year from an estimated 3.1% last year, said Citigroup regional vice-president for economic research, Sim Moh Siong.
This benign projection was on expectations that Bank Negara would raise interest rates slightly to curb inflation, Sim, who is based in Singapore, told newsmen yesterday.
