LONDON: European shares climbed Wednesday as bid speculation surrounding Lloyds TSB as well as German television group ProSiebenSAT1 added to positive corporate news from U.K. satellite broadcaster BSkyB.
The German DAX 30 added 0.8 percent at 5,718, the French CAC 40 climbed 0.9 percent at 4,994 and the U.K. FTSE 100 rose 0.9 percent at 5,814.
